the fox’s tale…

how the foxtail got its name

background:

It was a day like any other… I was sitting on a bench in Ul’dah when a tall Raen gentleman with the reddest of hair (sporting a fancy set of fox ears) approached me at random. He started the conversation with one of the cheesiest pickup lines I’d ever heard, and I just had to laugh. When asked if that line ever works, he admitted, “No, not really.” and yet, there I was still very much in conversation with the man. Over the years that fox has become one of my dearest friends, and he often jokes about me being the tail he never did catch. And thus, The Foxtail was born.

about:

The Foxtail Lounge boasts an open performance stage for wandering musicians to share their talents. You’ll find ample seating on which to rest your weary bones, as well as a relaxing hot tub to melt away your stress and worries.

Each month The Foxtail will feature a playlist with a different theme. The current playlist is inspired by the sights and sound of Othard. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the Far East right in Limsa’s backyard.

The pride and joy of Opalene Rose, Foxtail is a modest, eastern fusion potion shop in The Mist. During her studies of alchemy, Opalene apprenticed under a potion master in Kugane and was forever changed by the culture and beauty of Othard. Her goal in opening The Foxtail is to bring that beauty and serenity home to share with all travelers who wander through The Mist.

mission:

My goal for The Foxtail is two-fold, and rather simplistic:  to give people a place to feel a little less alone, and, if they feel so inclined, give them a place to tell their stories. I hope this little potion shop and lounge in the Mist is truly a place where good times and great friends await everyone.
